About

Griffin Fire was formed in 1979 to provide a complete fire protection service and now enjoys an unrivalled reputation for quality, flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of customers. It is committed to best practice in all aspects of operations and is unique in the fire industry in terms of accreditations. Griffin Fire is also a member of FIA (Fire Industry Association), which comprises 80 member companies including all of the main manufacturers. All members must:

  • Ensure technicians have passed the FETA exam
  • Abide by the FIA Leadership Statement incorporating a complaints procedure, and have at least £2 million product & public liability insurance including efficacy insurance
  • Comply with the stringent requirements laid down by the Association

Quality

Griffin Fire is a Registered Firm with the British Standards Institution to ISO 9002 (Certificate No FS 29678). Standards play a core role in our activities. The standards to which we conform are developed and maintained by BSI British Standards, which is the UK's National Standards Body and a leading member of European and international standards organisations. BSI British Standards provide the infrastructure and expertise required to develop and improve all aspects of our business.

Environment

Griffin Fire is a Registered Firm with the British Standards Institution to ISO 14001:2004 (Certificate No EMS54701). Company objectives specific to our environmental policy include:

  • Increased use of information technology (the storage and retrieval system is now completely 'paper free')
  • Increased use of recycled & environmentally friendly products and services
  • Increased segregation of waste (all paper, cardboard, tins and bottles are recycled. All scrap aluminium extinguisher bodies are recycled)
  • Reduced energy consumption (all of Griffin Fire's vans use LPG to fuel their engines)
